Great meat counter! They can order live lobster and stock live clams as well. Their homemade brats are all great.
Wish every town the size of Ashland and larger had a great independent meat market like this. Surprising selection of beer and cheese too. Well worth the stop.
From the clean meat department, to the quality cuts of meat, to the attention that the staff provides each and every person that walks in the store, to the cheese selection, fresh veggies, dairy, and local flavors I have no idea how anyone could give this store less than 5 stars. We live out of the area and make bi-monthly stops here, many times placing a large meat order a day or 2 in advanced, sometimes not being able to do that and just showing up with a large order that day, and I am always greeted with friendly 1/1 service. Over time the staff gets to know you by name, gets to know your likes, gets to know your personality and the store becomes the perfect butcher shop from years ago. The meat is superior. We have never had any questionable product from them and I love the fact that they also sell from local farms!
Excellent brats. Top of the line meats and cheeses. Good place to buy Tetzner's ice cream and milk (Tetzner's is a local dairy).
Fantastic deli and meats! You have got to try their home made jerky dip along with a fabulous steak for grilling! Don't forget one of their many flavors of Wisconsin cheeses! Pick up any other necessities in their produce or dairy departments and you have the makings for a delicious evening!
