Great place to take the family for a natural history tour of the Great Lakes.

This is a beautiful 'welcome' center. Lots to see and do. Nice boardwalk hike. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was so well done and taken care of I thought it was only a couple of years old; it's been three for 21 years! Make sure you stop by on your next visit to the area, just make sure you don't press the plunger in the mine! ;)

A must see if you are in the area. Walking trails. Interactive things to do. A great place to learn a lot about the region. Sweet views from the top floor inside or outside.

Also a lovely place to have a conference, with AV equipment, a kitchen, professional staff, and nearby catering.

This place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We came here to check out all it had to offer but made the mistake of doing so one hour before closing. If you want the whole experience of what the center has to offer, be sure to give it at least three hours to explore! The interactive displays were fun to read and gave a good history of the area. A favorite was going to the top floor and looking out through binoculars. We wished we had come in time to feed the pond creatures out back!

We stopped by here on Memorial Weekend. This was a really well done museum that is free and has great facilities.

This was a great place to ask questions about the area and get information about what to do in the Great Lake region. The building is super nice and the staff was friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Climb the tower or take the elevator to look out over historic Chequamegon Bay!

We really enjoyed the exhibits and the scavenger hunt that you can do through the exhibit. There is a nice look out tower, a great boardwalk you can do, and a nice store.
