Two children, ages 11 and 9, together with their father and grandfather, had one of the best 24 hour trips to The Hotel Chequamegon EVER!!! Fantastic accommodations, great food, wonderful scenery and gorgeous weather... It couldn't have made for a better trip for two young boys and their multi-generational parents. Going back in history....seems much older than it actually is...has the romance and warmth of exclusive lodges. Roaring fire, deck overlooking lake Superior an amazing pub and restaurant...hand cut prime and an the best Bloody Mary I've ever had...
The site of this hotel is beyond value. The impressiveness of the decor is above and beyond. The furniture with the hand carved panels was flawless. If you stay anywhere up in Ashland; WI make sure to stay here, you will not regret your stay!
We loved this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We found everything just wonderful, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were the best we have had. Hot and good! The Surf and Turf was delicious.We enjoyed our stay and will return!
I recently stayed here on business and it was an excellent experience. The hotel has a classic feel and beautiful woodwork all around. The front desk attendant was very welcoming and pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and had a great view of the lake! I will definetly be back.
