WE HAD TO CALL THE POLICE ON THE OWNER BEFORE WE COULD LEAVE. STAY AWAY. A friend and I, both of us are veterans of different service branches, decided to come here because of the reviews he had. We asked for a rifle lane. The man running the store was polite at first and showed us the lane. He pointed out a target at roughly 75 yards, another at about 125 yards, and a third target at about 225 yards. He told us not to do any rapid-fire because of a house that is 100 yards behind the treeline. He also said to keep our fire downrange into the birm that was behind all of the targets. No problem. We were told we were okay to walk downrange to inspect, replace, and adjust targets. We were the only two people on the range. We zeroed our weapons at 25 yards, and then practiced on the 75 yard target. There was some clay pigeon fragmentation on the ground as well as a small stack of about 7-8 clays. These were about 10 feet over from the target still well within the middle of the range. I decided to try my shot at those. I hit the stack with my .308 and it turned it all into fragments. Then we went on shooting for a while longer at the 75 yard target. The owner came back out angrily asking where his clays were and asking if he hadn't been clear about not shooting past the birm. I said that he was clear, and that I shot the clays. He then started yelling and swearing at us about how we broke the rules. I offered to pay for the clays because I thought he was upset about them not being usable anymore. He ignored that and started getting in our faces about how we were unsafe and broke the rules. My friend said we would pay and be on our way. The owner then said that he was going to have us police our brass, pay him, and then never come back. We said okay because we wanted to avoid a confrontation and get away from him. He then said that we could explain to the police that were "on their way" why a "bullet went through a house and killed a three-year-old boy". My friend asked if the police were actually on their way and if someone had actually been hurt. It was obviously untrue, but he wouldn't confirm or deny it. That's when we said we were going to call the police because he was getting out of hand. At that point, the owner quickly grabbed my cell phone off the table and one of our rifles and started walking away. I asked what he thought he was doing. He said we were going to clean up our brass and handle this inside with him. At that point, we were legitimately concerned for own safety. My friend called the police on his phone while I packed up our gear as quickly as we could. We moved to a safe point behind cover where we could see the shop doors and waited for the police. The Sheriff's Deputies said it was theft, but we did not press charges. We just wanted to get off that range. A deputy escorted me inside where I paid for the time we had shooting on the range and also recovered my rifle and my phone. They also went back to the house behind the range and reported back that there was no damage to the house and no one even at the house. This is all documented with the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office. I advise anyone to avoid this place as long as that guy is still running it.

Thanks for the excellent service today.....I told him what I wanted, had it for me in two days, and boresighted.....awesome gun, and all the accessories on hand. Thanks Bryan.

Great selection and tons of suppressed arms available.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! The guy behind the counter was rude, useless and obviously me being there was an inconvenience to hom...I think it may have even been the owner... a poor way to run a business. But when a local came in it was nothing but buddy buddy. Let me give you some advise, be nice to all potential customers, you may need their business in the future. I was pleasant to you and expect the same from where I do business. I will not spend a penny there even though it's the only gun store/range in town. I'll mail order or go to Superior/Duluth. You lost a lot of business from me since I spend hundreds of dollars on ammo and supplies a year.

I've bought a shotgun, ammo & various parts from here. Always had good service with reasonable prices.
